Myers was chair and CEO of the Myers Group which was created in 1992. The Myers Group owns the Bahamian franchises for Burger King, Dunkin' Donuts, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), and Quiznos Subs. Emmet was a talented amateur golfer. He made the quarter-finals of the 1904 British Amateur and won the Bahamas Amateur at the age of 66. Clifton Heritage National Park is a national park on the western end of New Providence Island in the Bahamas. It is managed by the Clifton Heritage Authority and has an area of 208 acres. Notable as tribute to the cultural history of the Bahamas, it was established as a protected area in June 2004 and opened to the public in April 2009.
