A checkbox in the Special:Export interface selects whether to export the full history (all versions of an article) or the most recent version of articles. A maximum of 1000 revisions are returned; other revisions can be requested as detailed in MW:Parameters to Special:Export .
The content translation tool assists users in translating existing Wikipedia articles from one language to another. Users select an article in any language, then select another language, and the interface provides machine translation which the human user can then use as inspiration to make readable text in another language.
The text may be for a completely new article (see Help:New article), or to expand an existing English Wikipedia article. If text is copied over from another Wiki then appropriate attribution must be placed in the edit history of the article (see the guide line Copying within Wikipedia §Translating from other language Wikimedia projects)

Requesting a translation from another language's Wikipedia into English is easy. If the English article already exists (but a translation would be useful because the article in the other language is of higher quality, or includes additional information): simply place a translation template from the category Category:Expand by language Wikipedia ...
Alternatively one can copy the wikitext, i.e. the text in the edit box (the source code within the database).. This has a limited use. There is more information in the webpage than conveyed by the wikitext:
The English article on Spain includes a link to the Spanish article España in the "Languages" list, and vice versa. These links are primarily maintained in Wikidata and can be overridden in rare cases using local links in the text of the page.
If you want to import many articles, it is usually a good idea to ask first if the material is appropriate for Wikipedia, for example, on Wikipedia:Village pump.
