Location of Lake Pat Cleburne, Texas Lake Pat Cleburne Dam. Lake Pat Cleburne is the municipal water reservoir for the city of Cleburne, Texas, as well as a recreational lake for residents. Lake Pat Cleburne is owned and operated by the City of Cleburne. It was built as the city's water supply and was impounded in 1964.
In 1900, Cleburne was the site of the founding convention of the Texas State Federation of Labor. [9] Cleburne was primarily an agricultural center and county seat until the Santa Fe Railroad opened a major facility there in 1898. During this time, the population boomed, as it became a sizable city for the area with over 12,000 residents by 1920.
Cleburne State Park is a 528-acre (2.14 km 2) Texas state park in Johnson County, Texas operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The park includes the 116-acre (0.47 km 2), spring-fed Cedar Lake that was created by construction of an earthen dam by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The park is reached via US 67 to Park Road 21.
Nolan River is a river in north central Texas, running through Johnson County and Hill County and is part of the Brazos River drainage basin. The Nolan's headwaters are in farm land in northwest Johnson County. The river runs generally parallel to, and about 10 miles (16 km) east of, the Brazos River.

The creek flows primarily through the city of Cleburne where two smaller streams meet. The East Buffalo Creek originates near the town of Keene, flowing south-west into Cleburne.
