The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) formerly known as North Adams State College (NASC) [4] is a public liberal arts college in North Adams, Massachusetts. It is part of the state university system of Massachusetts. [5] It is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.
The rally was one of several held throughout the state over the last two days involving the Massachusetts Community College Council, a statewide union representing community college employees.
The college was founded in 1970 in leased buildings on the grounds of the Veterans Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts. Starting in 1972, the college also leased space at the former Marist Preparatory Seminary, off Springs Road in Bedford.
