Pike County is a county located in the Appalachian (southern) region of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census , the population was 27,088. [ 2 ] Its county seat is Waverly , [ 3 ] and the county is named for explorer Zebulon Pike .

Located in the southwestern corner part of the county, it borders the following townships: Benton Township - northeast; Sunfish Township - southeast; Franklin Township, Adams County - south; Bratton Township, Adams County - southwest corner; Brushcreek Township, Highland County - west; Perry Township - northwest
