Library West is the major library of the University of Florida's George A. Smathers Libraries system. This library was opened to the public on December 8, 2001 as a 325,000 square foot full service library located on NSU's main campus in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is located in the northeastern section of the University of Florida in the middle of the Campus Historic District. When it was first created it was the largest building on campus at that time.
