The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI, / ˈɒmziː / OM-zee) is a science and technology museum in Portland, Oregon, United States. It contains three auditoriums, including a large-screen theatre, planetarium, and exhibition halls with a variety of hands-on permanent exhibits focused on natural sciences, industry, and technology.
Eugene Science Center was founded in 1961 as the Southwest Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (SWOMSI). SWOMSI received initial support from its parent organization, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) of Portland, but soon after became an independent museum with a board of directors composed primarily of local educators.
Sage Museum, Shaniko [95] Pacific Northwest Museum of Natural History, Ashland [96][97] Working Wonders Children's Museum, Bend, closed in 2009 [98] Jensen Arctic Museum, Monmouth, closed in 2013, collection moved to the Museum of Natural and Cultural History (MNCH) at the University of Oregon in Eugene.

In 1986, PGE gave Station L and 18.5 acres (7.5 ha) of land to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). [2] The Station L turbine is a central feature of OMSI's Turbine Hall. [3] The complex was listed on the National Register in 1985, and was delisted in 2020. [4] [full citation needed]
