And princess and the frog doesn’t count since it’s about an American African, but the movie was still great otherwise. And don’t be a snowflake, racism exists. But if we give Disney the benefit of the doubt it could be because princess and the frog is a recent movie, like Tangled and Frozen which also haven’t been remade.
Still, the Be Prepared musical number in the live-action is even more awful than it have the right to be Even doing something "realistic" they should forget photorealism and try to adapt even using realistic animals, they're doing a movie, it lacks magic and the effects are very well made but the art direction is kinda flat..
Basically, logistically Princess and the Frog is probably one of the worst options for a Live Action remake and I'd rather see the movie get a good sequel. I don't know what the sequel would be about but I think it would make a lot more sense then a remake.
