Hilary joined the Irish choral group Anúna [4] [5] in 2000. She toured the United States, Morocco, the Netherlands, and Finland with the group, and she has sung with the choir and featured as a soloist on six of their albums: Invocation (2001), Winter Songs (2001), Behind the Closed Eye (2002), Sensation (2006) "Illumination" (2012) and "Revelation" (2015).
The album was recorded at Real World Studios, Herbert Place Studios, Beechpark Studios, and Jam Studios in London, United Kingdom in July 2018. On 5 August 2015, Celtic Woman announced that a special unnamed free-to-attend-but-ticketed concert performance would be taking place and recorded in the Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin, Ireland, residence of the Lord Mayor of Dublin since 1715 and where the first Dáil proclaimed the Irish Declaration of Independence in 1919, on 13 August 2015.
