In 2023, 44 cadets of SPI cracked the UPSC-NDA exam. [7] In 2024 37 out of 57 cadets of SPI 47th Course cracked UPSC NDA exam further studying for SSB interview currently. From 2023, a separate SPI for girls is established at Nashik by the Maharashtra Government. [8] 3 girls out of 27 from the 1st course of GSPI cleared the UPSC-NDA written exam.

Officer jobs are available in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force after passing the Combined Defence Services Exam (CDS). Any student can take this exam after graduation.
