The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. [2] Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal , the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan "Dexter" Holland , lead guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman , bassist Todd Morse , multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy and drummer Brandon Pertzborn .
The band changed its name to "the Offspring" in 1986. Lilja left the Offspring in 1987 to pursue a medical career in oncology and was replaced by Ron Welty, who was 16 years old at the time. [2] [3] The bands first touring member was Chris "X-13" Higgins, who at first provided backing vocals and later played percussion and rhythm guitar.
The band's eleventh studio album, Supercharged was released on October 11, 2024. The drum tracks were handled by both Freese and Pertzborn, while Holland and new bassist Todd Morse took bass duties. As of 2015, The Offspring has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. [4]

Holland is one of the two members (along with Noodles) to appear on all of The Offspring's albums, and as of Greg K.'s split from the band in November 2018, he is the only remaining original member left. The band released two studio albums in 2007 and 2010. In 2003, Morse joined the band Juliette and the Licks and played on all of the band's records. He left the group in 2008 shortly before breaking up. The band reunited in 2015. [5] In 2009, Morse became rhythm guitarist for the Offspring on tours.
