Sander Lloyd Nelson (December 1, 1938 – February 14, 2022) was an American drummer. [1] Nelson, one of the best-known rock and modern jazz drummers of the late 1950s and early 1960s, had several solo instrumental Top 40 hits and released over 30 albums. He was a session drummer on many other well-known hits. [2]
Peter Edward "Ginger" Baker (19 August 1939 – 6 October 2019) was an English drummer. [1] His work in the 1960s and 1970s earned him the reputation of "rock's first superstar drummer", for a style that melded jazz and African rhythms and pioneered both jazz fusion and world music.
