El Sentinel del Sur de Florida (Spanish for "South Florida Sentinel") is a weekly Spanish-language newspaper published in Deerfield Beach, Florida by the South Florida Sun Sentinel Company, a subsidiary of Tribune Publishing of Chicago, which also publishes the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. El Sentinel began publication on October 12, 2002.
It is home of the famous Piedra Alta de la Florida, the place of the Declaration of Independence in 1825. The city is also famous for San Cono's chapel, where multitudes gather every 3 June. An important building is the Cathedral of Florida, which is the National Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Thirty-Three.
The first comprehensive study of Florida's springs was published in 1947. The next update was released 30 years later in the Florida Geological Survey Bulletin No. 31, Revised, "Springs of Florida". [6] In the 1977 Rosenau survey, there were sixteen offshore (under water) springs identified. All but two were situated on the Gulf coast.

Florida Bay is the bay located between the southern end of the Florida mainland (the Florida Everglades) and the Florida Keys in the United States. It is a large, shallow estuary that while connected to the Gulf of America, has limited exchange of water due to shallow mudbanks dividing the bay into many basins or lakes.
