Conwy (/ ˈ k ɒ n w i /, Welsh: ⓘ), previously known in English as Conway, is a walled market town, community and the administrative centre of Conwy County Borough in North Wales. The walled town and castle stand on the west bank of the River Conwy , facing Deganwy on the east bank.
The minuscule home was built in the 16th century and remained in use until 1900, when the tenant was a 6-foot-3-inch (1.91 m) fisherman named Robert Jones. The rooms were too small for him to stand up in fully and he was eventually forced to move out when the council declared the house unfit for human habitation, along with a number of properties.
The Conwy forms a wide estuary as it reaches the coast, which has by wide, sandy beaches and the limestone headlands of the Great Orme and the Little Orme. The highest peak within the county is Carnedd Llewelyn, at 1,064 metres (3,491 ft), which is on the boundary with Gwynedd and is the third-highest summit in Wales.
Coed Coch, in Dolwen, Conwy, Wales, is a large 19th-century mansion in the neoclassical style, designed by the architect Henry Hakewill. The building is Grade II* listed, [1] as is its 18th- and 19th-century parkland. [1] The mansion is of ashlar, originally with two matching, three-bay elevations. [2]
