The Electrical Engineering STudents' European assoCiation (EESTEC) [note 1] is a nonprofit apolitical and non-governmental student organization for Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) students at universities, institutes and schools of technology in Europe awarding an engineering degree. [3]
The approximately 300 international students attend the Freshman Program each year in Geilenkirchen, Germany, on the boarding school-type campus. The program focuses on preparing students to study engineering, business and economics or medicine. A unique highlight is the possibility to start in English and progress to studying in German.
Engineering training in Kenya is typically provided by the universities. Registration of engineers is governed by the Engineers Registration Act. A candidate stands to qualify as a registered engineer, R.Eng., if they are a holder of a minimum of four years of post-secondary Engineering Education and a minimum of three years of postgraduate work experience.
Student-driven - The National Secretary is a student, normally serving for one to two years. Often there is one employed administrative staff for paperwork and keeping contact with other national committees, but the students are making decisions, organizing trainees and even raising funds. This program is open to third and fourth-year undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates. [13] This four-week program has students choose from a variety of departments, including Architecture, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, etc, taught by Technion faculty. It also includes trips around the country.
Electrical Engineering (M.S., Ph.D.) Offered through the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, students are able to choose their coursework around specific research areas of the department, such as wireless/mobile communications, micro-electro- mechanical systems, magnetics, and remote sensing.
