The grey-breasted parakeet (Pyrrhura griseipectus) is an Endangered species of bird in subfamily Arinae of the family Psittacidae, the African and New World parrots. [ 1 ] [ 3 ] Long thought to be endemic to Ceará in northeastern Brazil , it has also been documented in Bahia .
The plain parakeet is 23 to 25 cm (9.1 to 9.8 in) long and weighs about 63 g (2.2 oz). Adults have an essentially all green body, though their nape has a bluish tinge and their undersides have a yellowish one. Their shoulder is bronzy or brownish green and their flight feathers and the underside of their tail are bluish green.
The blaze-winged parakeet is 25 to 26 cm (9.8 to 10 in) long. The sexes are the same. Adults have a brownish crown and reddish brown ear coverts; the rest of their face is yellowish green. Their upperparts are green. Their chin, the sides of their neck, and their breast are yellowish green; brown feather edges give a scaly appearance.
The blue-winged parakeet (Psittacula columboides), also known as the Malabar parakeet, is a species of parakeet endemic to the Western Ghats of southern India.Found in small flocks, they fly rapidly in forest clearings while making screeching calls that differ from those of other parakeet species within their distribution range.
