Michael Powell (born October 29, 1982) is an American former professional lacrosse player who was a four-time First Team All-American at Syracuse University, played professional lacrosse for the Baltimore Bayhawks and Boston Cannons, and played on the United States team in the 2002 and 2006 World Lacrosse Championships where he was named to the All-World Team.
Powell is the only player in NCAA Division I lacrosse history to earn first-team All-American honors at more than one position. He is the middle brother of three lacrosse-playing brothers, younger than Casey but older than Michael. [1] [2] He attended Carthage Senior High School where he was the quarterback for the football team and played on the lacrosse team. The Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team represents Syracuse University in NCAA Division I men's college lacrosse. The Orange have won 15 national championship titles (one was later vacated) and currently compete as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference men's lacrosse conference.
