A new intake and exhaust porting (higher flow, reduced chamber volume). A higher compression ratio (from 11.9:1 to 12.3:1). The cam timing was revised. Intake valve lift was increased from 8.9 mm to 9.1 mm. Double springs for the intake valves were implemented. The engine RPM redline was increased from 11,250rpm to 12,200rpm.
