St Just (Cornish: Lan(n)ust), [3] also known as St Just in Penwith, is a town and civil parish in the Penwith district of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It lies along the B3306 road which connects St Ives to the A30 road .
The church is dedicated to St Just; in 1478 William of Worcester reported that the church enshrined the relics of Saint Justus the Martyr. Just, Justin or Yestin was a son of St Geraint . [ 1 ] [ 2 ]

The district was created on 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, as a merger of Penzance and St. Ives boroughs, St Just urban district, and West Penwith Rural District, and was abolished and replaced by the Cornwall Unitary Council on 31 March 2009.
However, following the introduction of unitary authorities in 2009, Penwith District Council was abolished and, by 2010, the St Just in Penwith Town Council had relocated to new offices at No.1 Chapel Street, also known as "Bank House". [10] [11] Since then, the old town hall has been managed by St Just Community ABC as a community venue. [12]
It is in the civil parish of St Just in Penwith. It lies along the B3306 road which connects St Ives to the A30 road near Land's End. Carnyorth lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the electoral division of St Just in Penwith. [3]

St Just in Penwith (Cornish: Lannust) [1] was an electoral division of Cornwall in the United Kingdom which returned one member to sit on Cornwall Council between 2009 and 2021. It was abolished at the 2021 local elections , being succeeded by the Land's End division .
