Uninstall the updates to get back to a time it worked - for me, I had to uninstall 2 updates - by clicking in the update and selecting uninstall and restarting the computer. Anyway, there must be a bug or compatibility issue of the latest Windows version on your device. If you just updated Windows less than 10 days ago I suggest that you try to go back to the previous version of Windows. Open Settings > System > Recovery . Next to Go back , select Go back. Basically it could be either; (1.1) loose connection of builtin webcam; (1.2) webcam surrounding area of notebook screen became slightly warped, causing wiring of webcam to become loose, possible caused by user's handling during opening and closing of screen, over certain period of time. I recently purchased an ASUS laptop with Windows 11, however the camera (and changing background) does not work while using Teams. Camera works fine when using Teams in browser and also for other apps like Zoom. Pls advise.
