Amazon Prime Air, or simply Prime Air, is a drone delivery service operated by Amazon. The service uses delivery drones to autonomously fly individual packages to customers, and launched in 2022. [1] The service currently operates in two cities in the US, with plans to expand into the UK and Italy in 2024. [2]
The service will use two branded Boeing 737-800 freighters to deliver goods in four metro cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. The company plans to increase the number of dedicated freighters in India to six by the end of 2023, and will also continue to utilize the cargo space of other passenger airlines. [citation needed]
