Asia Books is the largest English language bookseller in Thailand. It also sells books and magazines in Thai. It opened in September 1969. The chain has 70 shops throughout Thailand under the Asia Books or Bookazine brand. It also distributes English books and magazines to over 300 outlets. [1]

Siam Center was built in 29 January 1973 as one of Bangkok's first shopping malls. It has undergone renovation several times, including after a fire in 1997. On 11 January 2013, Siam Center re-branded itself as Siam Center The Ideaopolis.
The Neilson Hays library was named after Jennie Neilson Hays, a Danish-American missionary who came to Bangkok in the late 19th century. She was married to a medical doctor, Thomas Hayward Hays, who was also a missionary. Jennie joined the Bangkok Library Association in 1895 and was its president three times in 25 years, until her death in 1920.
