The event was held in conjunction with the 2023 BC Men's Curling Championship, the provincial men's curling championship. The winning Clancy Grandy rink represented British Columbia at the 2023 Scotties Tournament of Hearts on home soil in Kamloops, British Columbia where they made the Championship round losing to Manitoba 9–4.

The winning Robyn Silvernagle rink represented Saskatchewan at the 2023 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kamloops, British Columbia, and finished eighth in Pool A with a 2–6 record. Silvernagle's title was improbable as the team was put together at the last minute and they only had one practice together prior to the last chance qualifier.
As such, the tournament was officially renamed the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in 2007. Until 2018, the format was a round robin of 12 teams. Starting with the 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts there have been more than twelve eligible teams; therefore a pre-qualification tournament was held to trim the field to twelve.
