[3] Claiming an estimated 2 million members in approximately 4,000 churches as of 2022, the Association of Religion Data Archives reported the PAW as having 54,934 members in 108 U.S. churches.
Affirming Pentecostal Church International (APCI) is an LGBT-affirming, Oneness Pentecostal denomination. It was founded December 5, 2010 in Indianapolis, Indiana . [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The APCI claims to have established congregations across the Americas , Africa , and the British Isles .

The Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ (PAJC) is one of the oldest active Oneness Pentecostal organizations in the world. Two of the largest Oneness Pentecostal organizations, United Pentecostal Church International and Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, were once part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ and a third, the International Circle of Faith, traces its roots to the PAJC.
The movement to create LGBT-affirming Apostolic or Oneness Pentecostal churches began in 1980 in the city of Schenectady, New York. [7] [8] [9] The founder of the affirming Apostolic Pentecostal movement, Reverend William H. Carey, envisioned an international network of affirming Oneness Pentecostal churches, including the more fundamentalist theology inherent with such churches.
