Lasiocyano is a genus of tarantulas (family Theraphosidae). [2] As of June 2023, it was a monotypic genus with the sole species Lasiocyano sazimai, [3] synonym Pterinopelma sazimai, [1] known as the Brazilian blue, iridescent blue or Sazima's tarantula.
It is based on Thierry Jonquet's 1984 novel Mygale, first published in French and then in English under the title Tarantula. [2] [4] Almodóvar has described the film as "a horror story without screams or frights". [5] The film was the first collaboration in 21 years between Almodóvar and Banderas since Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1990). [6]
