Chaudhury was born on 6 October 1966 in Chatkhil thana of Noakhali, Bangladesh. Her father, Rafiqullah Chaudhury, was a Civil Service of Pakistan officer and secretary to the Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1972.
