Dayton is located within Ohio's Miami Valley region, 50 miles (80 km) north of Cincinnati and 60 miles (97 km) west of Columbus. It is the county seat of Montgomery County. Dayton was founded in 1796 along the Great Miami River and named after Jonathan Dayton, a Founding Father who owned a significant amount of land in the area. [8]

The Schlee Brewery Historic District is a historic district in the Brewery District neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. [ 1 ] At the time of nomination, the site consisted of six buildings, all of which are contributing.

Bavarian Brewing Company was a brewery established in Covington, Kentucky, in 1866 by Julius Deglow, but became known as the Bavarian Brewery around 1870.The brewery was originally located on Pike Street, but expanded to 12th Street within a decade.
Surly purchased an 8.3-acre (3.4 ha) plot of land in Prospect Park, Minneapolis for its $20 million brewery in April 2013. Surly secured $2 million in environmental mediation grants from Hennepin County to address more than a century's worth of accumulated industrial pollution at the site. [11] Their new brewery and taproom opened in December 2014.
