This is a list of ships currently being operated by the Finnish Navy or entering service in the near future, as of September 2018. [1] In the case of a conflict, eight offshore patrol vessels, seven hovercraft and 81 coastal patrol boats from the Finnish Border Guard can be armed and transferred to the Navy.

The Coastal Fleet of the Finnish Navy (Finnish: Rannikkolaivasto, Swedish: Kustflottan) is the main naval fleet in the Finnish Navy. It is responsible for the territorial integrity of Finland and its territorial waters. Almost all of Finland's naval vessels are part of the Coastal Fleet.
The strength of the Finnish Navy at the beginning of World War II was limited. Some of the planned ships had not yet been constructed and wartime constraints on the economy prolonged ship building times. The Finnish Navy operated the following vessels in the Baltic Sea: Two coastal defence ships (Ilmarinen and Väinämöinen)
