Kentucky Route 73 (KY 73) is a 30.031-mile-long (48.330 km) state highway in Kentucky that runs from the Kentucky—Tennessee state line southeast of Franklin to Kentucky Route 1038 northwest of South Union in rural Logan County via Franklin.
The George A. Ellis Bridge (foreground) carries U.S. 62 and U.S. 641 over the Tennessee River. US 641 enters Kentucky at Hazel and continues north to Murray, intersecting KY 80 just north of the city limit. SR 259 begins at an intersection with US 31W/SR 41 on the Kentucky–Tennessee state line. It goes east to pass through the town of Mitchellville, before winding its way southeast through farmland to enter Oak Grove and come to an end at an intersection with SR 52. [1] [3]
Until the 2000s, SR 461 was signed as SR 49. [4] Although the road south of the LBL boundary became designated as SR 461 after the USDA Forest Service took over ownership of LBL, some road maps still identify the entire Tennessee section of the trace as SR 49.

U.S. Route 41 Alternate (US 41 Alt.), also signed U.S. Route 41A in Tennessee (US 41A), connects the town of Monteagle, Tennessee, with Hopkinsville, Kentucky, 10 miles (16 km) north of the Tennessee line. It serves the city of Clarksville, Tennessee, on its way to Nashville, where it briefly runs concurrently with US 41.
