    Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital was established in 1905 as Riverside Hospital in downtown Paducah. In 1959, the Diocese of Owensboro purchased the hospital, and the Sisters of St. Francis of Tiffin, Ohio, arrived to manage the facility.
