Military Trail is a 46.2-mile (74.35 km) long six-lane north–south arterial road in Broward and Palm Beach counties in South Florida.A portion of the road is designated State Road 809 (SR 809), but most of the road within Palm Beach County is locally maintained and signed as County Road 809 (CR 809), while the Broward County section exists without either designation.
I-410 intersects I-10 twice, I-35 twice, I-37 once, as well as U.S. Highway 90 (US 90), US 281, and State Highway 151 (SH 151), all freeways in Greater San Antonio with the exception of Loop 1604, which forms a secondary loop around the city, and Wurzbach Parkway, which is located about two miles (3.2 km) outside the loop on the north side.
The Southeast Military Drive and IH-37 corridor is home to City-Base Landing that has such stores as Walmart Supercenter, H-E-B, Target, and Best Buy. City-Base landing West is also the home of a Mission Trail Baptist Hospital that opened in 2011, the first new hospital on the south side in nearly forty years.

In 2005, the NSA leased a nearby defunct chip plant from Sony at Loop 410 and Military Drive [7] and announced plans to more than double the number of employees over the next two to three years. Originally totaling 470,000 square feet and consisting of two connected buildings, it is now about 633,000 sq. ft after expansions to the site was made.
As the Supercenter proved to be a much more profitable experiment, Walmart renamed the stores "Wal-Mart's Hypermart USA" in April 1990, and eventually began either converting them to Supercenter operations or closing them. As of 2023, two of the former Hypermart USA locations still operate as Walmarts while the other two have been demolished.

The Pompano Beach station is located at Northwest Eighth Avenue and 35th Street, just southeast of the intersection of West Sample Road (SR 834) and Military Trail (SR 809). The station, officially opened to service January 9, 1989, offers parking.
