Provincial Police Service (IAST: Prāntīya Pulisa Sevā), often abbreviated to as PPS, is the state civil service for policing of Uttarakhand Police comprising Group A and Group B posts. It is also the feeder service for Indian Police Service in the state.
The UKSSSC was established to streamline the recruitment process for Group C posts in the Uttarakhand state government. It operates under the provisions of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission Act, 2014, [6] and works towards providing a fair selection system to attract skilled candidates for government services.
