Chicago Golf Club is a private golf club in the central United States, located in Wheaton, Illinois, a suburb west of Chicago. The oldest 18-hole course in North America , it was one of the five founding clubs of the United States Golf Association (USGA) in 1894.
Chicago Golf Club was founded by renowned course designer, 1895 U.S. Amateur Champion and World Golf Hall of Fame member Charles Blair Macdonald, who was born in Canada in 1856 and grew up in Chicago. At 16 years-old CB Macdonald was sent overseas to study in St. Andrews, Scotland.
