About Limited Criminal History Records. A Limited Criminal History contains only felonies and class A misdemeanor arrests within the state of Indiana. Completeness of this information is based upon county participation.
Public Records Requests. In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 5-14-3, the Indiana State Police provides the public with access to its public records upon request. While some records, such as investigatory information, are excepted from disclosure under IC 5-14-3-4, all requests are reviewed and acted upon in a timely manner.

You can get a a fingerprint-based full criminal history record or a name-based “limited criminal history” record online or by mail. The "limited criminal history" record includes only felonies and class A misdemeanor arrests within the state of Indiana.
Follow. Juvenile History Record: In order to obtain a Juvenile History Record, you will need to go your local police department and be fingerprinted. You will then mail the fingerprints and a money order for $10, (Paid to the Indiana State Police), To: The Indiana State Police, PO Box 6188, Indianapolis in 46204.
