The Tour Championship (stylized as the TOUR Championship) is a golf tournament that is part of the PGA Tour. It has historically been one of the final events of the PGA Tour season; prior to 2007 , its field consisted exclusively of the top 30 money leaders of the past PGA Tour season.

The tournament is currently played on PGA Tour Champions, but was originally staged as an invitational pro-am and attended by only a handful of top professionals. It later moved onto the European Tour schedule in 2010 and was played on that tour until 2019. [1] [2] The winner receives a gold dagger inlaid with jewels. [3]
The prize fund was increased to US$8,000,000 in 2012 [5] and then US$9,000,000 in 2021 when the European Tour announced the new title sponsorship with DP World Tour. The tournament also determines the Race to Dubai Bonus Pool, which goes to the top golfers on the DP World Tour Rankings after the tournament.
