Henry County is a county located in the north central portion of the U.S. state of Kentucky bordering the Kentucky River. As of the 2020 census, the population was 15,678. [1] Its county seat is New Castle, but its largest city is Eminence. [2] The county was founded in 1798 from portions of Shelby County. [3]
Note: The Caverna Independent Schools district includes a portion of northwest Barren County, as well as a part of southern Hart County. The district's headquarters and its elementary school are in Cave City, in Barren County, while its middle and high school is located in Horse Cave, in Hart County.

It continues north out of town and forms a concurrency with US 421 3 miles (4.8 km) north of KY 22. After passing by Henry County High School and traveling through New Castle, US 421 and KY 55 split in Campbellsburg.

Eminence is located in southern Henry County and is bordered to the south by Shelby County. Kentucky Route 55 is Main Street through Eminence. KY 55 leads north 4 miles (6 km) to New Castle, the Henry County seat, and south 12 miles (19 km) to Shelbyville.
Eminence Independent Schools is one of two school districts in Henry County, Kentucky and is divided into three schools, Eminence Elementary, Eminence Middle, and Eminence High. All three schools are located on the same campus and share some of the same facilities, like a gym, cafeteria, computer lab, and library.
