On 12 July 2017, Caribbean Airlines Flight 457, a Boeing 737-800 (registration 9Y-TAB) was taking off from runway 10 when the jet blast from the engines knocked over a New Zealander woman, causing serious injuries. The woman was pronounced dead at hospital.
