Here are my 5 basic presets that I review regularly —. Daily Stocks in Play. Pre market gap up or down 2%. Pre-market trades of 50,000 or more shares. Avg daily volume of 500,000 shares. Avg True Range of at least .50 cents. Fundamental catalyst such as earnings or event within 24 hours.
I'm been working really hard on a custom built stock screener and welcome everyone to try it out .. its like finviz meets tradingview. You can screen for patterns, candlesticks, indicators and view all the results via chart view (and overlay indicators / moving averages on all the result charts all at once). I filter those down to a handful for the week and only trade those tickers. Works well. I use crappy Webull (been wanting to switch). I already have a dedicated 500ish stocks that I scan through. However, my requirements for those stocks when screening was greater than $5 - $50, volume of 1m+, market cap of 1b+.

Finviz and Tradingview are all you need. Screener.co is the most in depth screener I've found. You can screen global stocks with up to 10 years of financial data. Create your own custom logic for screening (like lines of code). The interface is old but the power you get for $30/month subscription is just epic.
i recently took the plunge to full time day trading. I normally use finviz with presets of +-5% gappers, relative volume over 2, price over $10, average volume over2m. sometimes my searches come up very low for stocks to trade after scanning through the charts. Gurufocus has the best screener I've found. It even allows for customized metrics. However it is $$$$$. I use finviz for free and stock unlock is a paid subscription. Tikr and Gurufocus. Screener for Indian stocks is amazing. You can add queries like SQL. For others, I use FinViz or Yahoo Equity Screener.
