Two seats on the Michigan Supreme Court are up for grabs in the 2024 general election, meaning voters will have the chance to select who will be making decisions about some of the most consequential issues for people in the state.

Andrew Fink and Kimberly Thomas are running for a full eight-year term. Incumbent David Viviano (R) is not running for re-election. Incumbent Kyra Harris Bolden and Patrick W. O'Grady are running in a special election. Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) appointed Bolden in November 2022.

There are two open seats on the Michigan Supreme Court up for election in 2024. Democrats nominated Kimberly Ann Thomas and Kyra Harris Bolden, who has served on the court since being appointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in 2022, to take on Republican nominees Andrew Fink and Patrick O’Grady, respectively.
