Cladium mariscus is a species of flowering plant in the sedge family known by the common names swamp sawgrass, [1] great fen-sedge, [2] saw-sedge or sawtooth sedge. Previously it was known as elk sedge. [3] It is native of temperate Europe and Asia where it grows in base-rich boggy areas and lakesides.
Cladium (fen-sedge, sawgrass or twig-sedge) is a genus of large sedges, with a nearly worldwide distribution in tropical and temperate regions. These are plants characterized by long, narrow (grass-like) leaves having sharp, often serrated (sawtooth-like) margins, and flowering stems 1–3 m tall bearing a much-branched inflorescence .
Optically variable ink used in popular USB drives that are often subject to counterfeiting. Taken from 2 different angles. Optically variable ink ( OVI ) also called color shifting ink is an anti- counterfeiting measure used on many major modern banknotes , as well as on other official documents ( professional licenses , for example).
Ink is a gel, sol, or solution that contains at least one colorant, such as a dye or pigment, and is used to color a surface to produce an image, text, or design. Ink is used for drawing or writing with a pen, brush, reed pen, or quill. Thicker inks, in paste form, are used extensively in letterpress and lithographic printing.
An anilox roll. In printing, anilox is a method used to provide a measured amount of ink to a flexographic (flexo) printing plate. [1] An anilox roll is a hard cylinder, usually constructed of a steel or aluminum core which is coated by an industrial ceramic, typically chromium(III) oxide powder, whose surface is engraved with millions of very fine dimples, known as anilox cells.
A major problem with soy ink is that it takes more time to dry than petroleum-based inks, due to its lack of evaporative solvents in the form of VOCs. [4] This creates challenges for some printing presses, especially those that use coated papers (such as magazines) instead of porous, uncoated paper (such as newspapers) where the ink can dry via absorption or IR in-line heaters.
