The Philippine Tennis Association (PhilTA) is the national governing body for tennis in the Philippines. It was founded in 1920 as the Philippine Lawn Tennis Association and joined the International Lawn Tennis Federation in 1936.

The Philippines men's national tennis team represents the Philippines in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Philippine Tennis Association. The Philippines currently compete in the Asia/Oceania Zone of Group IV. They won the Eastern Zone in 1957, 1958, 1960, and 1964, and reached the World Group Play-off in 1991.
The Philippines competed in its first Fed Cup in 1974.Their best result was reaching the 16th round in 1982. [1] The team was set to participate at the 1979 Fed Cup, with their first game against the United States at the first round but withdrew from the tournament due to "administrative reasons". [2]
