  2. Carlisle trailer tires now made on US soil? - Keystone Forums

Yes, old thread but tires are always relevant. Carlisle has a manufacturing facility in Clinton, TN and a newer plant in Jackson, TN. But the "Trail" tire is still manufactured in China. Hankook has built a huge plant here in Clarksville, TN close to where I reside. Their tires have a minimum of 14 ply and a G rating.

I read their release and looked at the individual lines of tires and it was hit and miss on what was branded Carlstar. I re-read their release and here is an excerpt:

That's what we did as well, mainly since ST205/75R14 LRD are the heaviest 14 inch tire that Carlisle makes. The new version of our trailer is coming from the factory with the wider ST215/75R14 LRD tires for the extra reserve capacity. The GY Endurance was the only name brand ST215/75R14 LRD tires that I could find. Carlisle has a ST215/75R14 ...

From the Tires Warehouse webpage, "Mastertrack is distributed by Unicorn Tire, a U.S.-based tire company specializing in the import and wholesale of a wide range of Chinese tires." A buddy of mine just bought mastertrack tires for his 3/4 ton.

  6. Best RV tire? - Keystone Forums

The "short answer is Carlisle Radial Trail HD, Goodyear Endurance" in the size your trailer uses. Carlisle brand is typically $150-200 cheaper for a set of 4 tires. I have not seen any long range studies that suggest Goodyear or Carlisle is better than the other.

The load index (129) for the LRG ST tire is 4079#, very close to the load range letter "G", 4080#.

They are very stout, can get it in a 235/85 R16. Rated at 4000 lbs at 110psi. Local tire shop is putting them on a lot of horse trailers. About $180 a piece mounted.

Posts: 18,483. I swapped Trailer Kings for Carlisle Radial Trail HD on the last trailer after a blowout and never had another issue. By virtually all accounts they are a good and respected trailer tire. Discount tire shows them 112-115 ea. and the GY Endurance is 136 plus 2.50 disposal fee. Your trailer is 7200gvw.

  10. So many opinions on TT tires! Trailer King - Keystone Forums

Posts: 3,357. It's all about opinions, we are lucky in the sense we have fairly light RVs compared to many. I did not have any problems with trailer kings on my current RV, but they are not top line tires. They are tires purchased because they are the cheapest to the buyer; in this case Keystone.

Just brought my new High Country home this past Saturday. Has Rainier ST tires, 235/80r16's. Can't seem to find out much of anything about them. I replaced the OEM tires on the Open Range I traded with Maxxis 8008's. Great tire with super reviews. Seems the Treddit tire web site says they're affiliated with Goodyear.
