Stonestown Galleria is a shopping mall in San Francisco, California, United States. It is located immediately north of San Francisco State University and near the former campus of Mercy High School which closed in 2020 and Lowell High School .

History [ edit ] The mall opened in 1980 and is part of the larger Stoneridge master planned neighborhood originally developed by Stoneson Development Corporation, whose founders also developed Lakeside Village and Stonestown Galleria in nearby San Francisco after World War II.
Stonestown station is a light rail station on the Muni Metro M Ocean View line, located in the median of 19th Avenue adjacent to Stonestown Galleria and the Lakeside neighborhood in San Francisco, California. It opened in 1925 with the first phase of the line and was rebuilt with a high-level island platform in 1993.
The complex consisted of two towers on either side (a 32-story office building and the 24-story Hyatt Regency Los Angeles hotel) and an enclosed shopping mall between them, anchored by the new 3-story flagship store of The Broadway department store chain, with a six-level, 1550-space parking garage atop it.
