Boggle is a word game introduced in 1972 and in which players try to find as many words as they can from a grid of lettered dice, within a set time limit. It was invented by Allan Turoff [ 1 ] and originally distributed by Parker Brothers .

In standard Boggle, the player is given a 4x4 grid of lettered dice, and the player must then find as many possible words in the grid of letters. Found this 2004 posting to the wordgame-programmers@yahoogroups list which confirms both b_jonas's info for Boggle Master as well as mine for Big Boggle.
