The area is located in the Appalachian Mountains of Southwestern Virginia about 8 miles west of Cripple Creek, Virginia, between Blue Springs Rd (Va 672) on the south, Dry Rd. (Va 612) on the north, Grayson Turnpike (US 21) on the west and Hale Lake Rd. (VA 798) on the east. It is on the south side of Little Dry Run Wilderness. [4]

Little River Canyon National Preserve is a United States National Preserve located on top of Lookout Mountain near Fort Payne, Alabama, and DeSoto State Park. Created by an Act of Congress in 1992, the 15,288-acre (6,187 ha) preserve protects what is sometimes said to be the nation's longest mountaintop river, the Little River.
The refuge is one of the largest undeveloped parcels of land on the Alabama coast. Established in 1980, Bon Secour (the name, in French, means "safe harbor") is smaller than most other national wildlife refuges, and is divided into Sand Bayou, Perdue, Little Point Clear, Fort Morgan, and Little Dauphin Island. The Perdue unit is the most developed.
Little Dry Creek is a short tributary of the South Platte River, approximately 10 miles (16 km) long, [2] in Arapahoe County, Colorado in the United States. The creek drains a suburban area south of Denver. It rises in Centennial, Arapahoe County, west of I-25, and flows generally northwest into Englewood.
The refuge is located near Grand Bay, Alabama in Mobile County, Alabama and Jackson County, Mississippi, and when complete will encompass over 32,000 acres (130 km 2). The refuge is part of the National Wildlife Refuge system.
Partnership with Ducks Unlimited and the U.S. Natural Resources Conservation Service and expanded in 2017 with The Trust for Public Land and Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration money. The WMA is located along Frog Bayou, that is also known as Clear Creek, adjacent to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers land.
