Billy Fay Thrift, 80, of Stanley passed away at his residence on May 23, 2024. He was born May 13, 1944, in Rutherford County, to the late William Crowder Thrift and Mary Etta McSwain Thrift. He is preceded in death by sisters, Retha Poovey (Phil) and Mary Frances Oliver. Billy was a United States Army veteran.
