Hey everybody! Does anybody out there have a good excel sheet for guest, addresses, RSVP, etc. I really need a good one.
Guest name, Date name (whether their spouse, significant other or +1 that I'll later fill their name in), address, city & state, zip, then I had a column of shower and bachelorette and marked if they're on the invite list for either of those.
here were my columns in excel:Name#on invite(i numbered the rsvps)addresshow many invited (2 if couple or guest +1)NO (reply)YES(reply)(easier to add the totals if in seperate colums)Gift (i used this for people who sent a gift but didnt come to the wedding)Table Number
I haven't used it because I didn't see it until I entered them all by hand on the site, but go to the guest list main menu and set up your wedding guest list. Click on "Import list" and there will be a green button that says "Download template." Save it to wherever you'll remember it is, then enter your info.
I had the same problem. Make sure your file is not a workbook with data in multiple sheets. I copied the list to Sheet 1 of a new workbook and saves as an Excel 1997-2003 file.

Ha, I'm not that good. It's really easy once you figure it out. Let's say you put the guests names in column A - i.e. Mr. and Mrs. Smith., so the # invited column is B. B:1 will initially be empty, B:2 will have the title "# Invited" and B:3 on downward will have numerals filled in.
You need to go to the view summary page. Scroll down and you should see options for exporting your guest list by party or individuals. Then click on create a report and you can save it as an excel file. I used the knot tools to do my guest list and budget, but I made sure to make backups frequently so if something happens I still have all the info.
I haven't checked out TK guest list area, but I like Excel because I can format everything how I want to. Side note - My co-worker gave me a great tip. Number your address on your spreadsheet, or whatever you're using, & put the same number on the RSVP so if you have someone add 2 kids & 3 grandkids, you can know who you have to call & polietly ...
