Triplett was born in 1930 to Mose Triplett, age 83, and Elida Hall, age 34. [1] [2] She was one of five children, of whom only she and her brother survived childhood. [3]Her father, who had fought for both the Confederacy and the Union during the Civil War, was aged 78 when he married her mother; their union was Mose Triplett's second marriage.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 as a Historic Place in Wilkes County, North Carolina. [1] St. Paul's was built in 1848 and is the most important example of the Gothic Revival style in Wilkesboro as well as being a typical example of many American Episcopal churches built during the mid nineteenth century.

The effort began in 1994, and the first phase of the greenway was opened on May 18, 2002.
