They look like any other white box/import offering...probably same manufacturer as the GF stuff by the looks. As long as the materials are decent they will work and might sound great dependjng on the build. I have had some guitar fetish stuff that has surprised me and some that was meh. Pretty standard for most brands.

You can see that by looking at them. And god only knows why the tolerances are so broad in a component where the actual value is quite significant. Honestly, if I get a smooth pot of the right value for my guitar, I don't even fight for a proper taper anymore. I'd love to see some startup put the "big boys" out of the pot business.
For the guitar all you have to do is get it out of the mildew/must of the case and let it air out for a week or two. When I acquired my '62 Strat it had a strong smell from the basement it had been sitting in and after two weeks out of the musty case it no longer smelled at all.
