Your Name's visuals seem unique even compared to other Japanese animation flicks. How Shinkai's movies draw water stuffs set them apart from other animations, like how Wall-E expresses daylight set it apart from other Pixar movies.

Watched ERASED (Boku Dake ga Inai Machi) and now Your Name (Kimi no wa wa) in two days. I'm a mess! Yoru Name left me in teers for the second half of the movie, and the comedy in the first half was also amazing.

  4. Is there an updated list of who says your name and when?

    www.reddit.com/.../comments/fh7y9u/is_there_an_updated_list_of_who_says_your_name

When you give gifts some will say your name, like Maru. Also some will say your name when you complete a bulletin board request. Like Elliot or Shane. Don’t forget at some events characters will say you name. I forget which but you’ll get a few. And of course never skip a scene cause they’ll say your name.

Shane, Maru, Abigail, and Elliot says your name when you gift them a loved gift. When you gift Emily a gift she dislikes, she will mention your name. I got Lewis to say my name repeatedly in the saloon, but I’m unsure if that’s due to high hearts with the guy.

The only canon source I am aware of is Makoto Shinkai's "Weathering with you" (WWY). In that movie, both Taki and Mitsuha made cameos, but they are not shown together explicitly... but in the WWY light novel (that I've not read yet) it is said that inside Taki's grandmother house it is described a picture of Taki and Mitsuha's wedding, supposedly from 2024.

  7. Your name taken off of Netflix? : r/KimiNoNaWa - Reddit

I am sad that it's gone from UK Netflix. I was introduced to Your Name and the world of emotional animes by randomly finding it on Netflix and I'm sad that others won't be able to have the same experience now. At least it'll stop showing up in my "watch again" recommendations though. I bought the blu ray long ago, no need to watch on Netflix now.

  8. Your Name is probably one of the best movies I’ve ever seen!

edit: also the Shinkai non-endings man. i am not an infer between the lines man. so a lot of this endings that you got to formulate your own take on drive me nuts. i want endings that are definite and that wont leave me hanging. like weathering and your name. i want that nitty gritty kiss or at the very least acknowledgement that their on a ...

  10. I do think there is a difference between 'in the name' and 'under the name'. For instance, the secretary calls the hotel and asks to make a reservation in the name of her boss Mr.Cullen. On the other hand, let's imagine I go to the conference and I make my reservation or get registered under the name of my company MTC. That's how I see it.

  11. Where do you put the suffix when listing the last name first?

    english.stackexchange.com/questions/116856

In a full name listing, the suffix follows the last name because the person is primarily known by is given name and surname, the suffix being a secondary piece of information. When listing last name first, the given name follows the surname because that is how we sort: all the Does, then the Johns, and finally the Jr.s. The preferred form would be
